Climbing the tower
The Our Lady tower (Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren) dates from the late 15th century and is 98 meters high. This late-medieval tower is the third highest in the Netherlands.
During a tour of about an hour you learn more about the history and legend of this tower. Climbing the 346 steps until the third level, you are rewarded with a breathtaking view of Amersfoort and the surrounding area. At clear days you can even see the Dom Tower of Utrecht!
Start time: Every day at 2.00 PM, Saturday at 12:30 PM and at 2:00 PM, in July and August on Tuesday – Subday at 11:00 AM and at 1:00, 3:00 en 4.30 PM.

Climbing the tower and visit to the carillonneur
Especially for the carillon lovers there every Saturday afternoon guided tours in the tower, the carillons and historical playing drum are demonstrated visited. In the playing cabin on the second level the carillonneur explains and demonstrates playing the carillon. The guided tour starts every Saturday at 3:30 PM at the entrance of Our Lady tower and is made possible by the Dutch Carillon School.
